Great evening in the Dunbar Hall for the hastily rearranged Christmas light switch on. – it was really good that we could be accomodated at such short notice.
Wonderful to see so many people getting together to celebrate this special evening, which has become one of the most popular events in Auldearn.
Due to the weather we couldn’t do things they way we normally do but the hall was filled with happy people , lots of smiling faces and excited children ( and some excited grown ups too).
Superb singing from the children of Auldearn Primary School – thanks to Mr Fraser and Mrs Cryans for taking the time to bring the children along.
The Auldearn Toddler group made the best of the new venue and managed to get word to Santa to tell him where to go….even though he got a little damp en-route…… still made the little ones happy though.
The Toddler group also organised a fantastic raffle and most of their elves were very well behaved…. . Special mention has to go to Lynn Kinnaird , in respect of the amount of effort she put in …and all with only 3 weeks notice…..
& also to Emma elf….whose tree putting up abilities have to be seen to be believed… I’d always thought it physically impossible to put a Christmas tree up at such an angle….. but she managed it… respect.
Thanks to all the local businesses who contributed to such a wonderful array of prizes …of which I won none 🙁
